bellabox | May 2014

My second Bellabox is finally here! As soon as I removed the outer cardboard packaging box, I could smell the rosemary soap. It was quite nice to have a fragrance to accompany the sample goodies inside. Anyway, here is what I received in this months box. Enjoy

I had seen the hype about receiving the Anastasia brow gel but wasn't sure I really wanted it since I do absolutely nothing with my brows. Nevertheless, I thought that I if I was to get it, I could still try it out and determine whether I should start paying more attention to my brows.

Two weeks

There are only two weeks left of classes before we go on swotvac, and only four more assessments to do before exams. eeeek. Yesterday morning, 8am, I got a surprise delivery of a cronut from a friend. I had never tried a cronut before but had heard all the hype about it in nyc. It turns out that a local coffee shop actually sells them. What is a cronut? It is a hybrid between a croissant and a donut- kinda like a custard filled donut made out of croissant pastry. Delish. Definitely keen to track down these Netalla ones I hear of in the break!

Tea Tuesday | Arizona Ice Tea

I found some more Arizona ice tea!! Instead of getting my usual original green tea with honey, I decided to try these two-Peach ice tea and Blueberry white tea.

I have a late start today (1pm!!) so i'm hoping it isn't going to rain when I walk to the bus! eek

Food Friday | KitKats

Did you know that there are many different flavours of Kitkat on the market? Well, overseas there are. I'm yet to find any flavours other than the milk chocolate here in Australia. Some friends and family managed to track down these ones for me from Singapore but I know there is a large variety also in Japan. I'm keen to try the Pear flavour and the Strawberry one.

Anyway, I better get back to this 2000 word lit review I have to write by Monday :(

Still eating chocolate eggs?

I know Easter was a couple weeks ago, but my friend mentioned she discovered Ferrero Rocher eggs this year and she brought a couple for me to try. It was a great surprise and a nice way to continue the day after a hard Ortho test this morning.

They taste exactly like a Ferrero Rocher except there are no chopped hazelnuts on the outside and the inside is filled with a gooey goodness. I'm definitely looking out for these next Easter!!

Food Friday | Red Velvet Jars

Yesterday we had a bake sale at uni to raise money for the Student Dental Society. I thought I would contribute by making a red velvet layer cake. Unfortunately I didn't get time to take some photos to share on the blog but i did make a few extra cupcakes to have at home. I absolutely love desserts in jars so I had a go at converting the cupcakes into this cute looking dessert.

I'm so keen to do more baking but uni has just been so hectic (as usual). It was nice to finish early today though. However, I did have a lecture at 8am that was cancelled at 8:25am agh Dental school needs to be waaaaay more organised!
